This Month In Downloads!

Friday, February 29, 2008

Here is the monthly recap list of all the downloads posted on this blog!! This, was a very slow month in new songs, and a lot of the links were removed by outside sources. But, hopefully, we will get some more songs! Enjoy, and be sure to be spreading the word about M&M ~ Music Mania!

~MP3's~
*Missy Elliot ~ "Shake Your Pom Pom"
*Heidi Montag ~ "Higher"
*Janet Jackson ~ "2nite"
*Nicole Scherzinger featuring Ne-Yo ~ Happily Never After"
*Keri Hilson ~ "Get It Girl"

Enrique Iglesias featuring Lil' Wayne ~ Push (Video Premiere)

Finally! The music video for Enrique's song "Push"! I've been a huge fan of this track for a while now, and it is good to finally see the video premiere. As most hip-hop videos, it is a little dirty, so I am warning you! The video, though is still very nice, and I enjoyed it! This song was featured on the soundtrack of Step Up 2, and it is sure to be hit very, very soon! Enjoy!

Keri Hilson ~ Get It Girl (New Song)

Thursday, February 28, 2008

If you don't know, Keri Hilson, is up-and-coming singer and songwriter. She appeared in Timbaland's hits "The Way I Are" featuring D.O.E., and "Scream" featuring Nicole Scherzinger. This song wasn't recorded for her album though. As reported earlier this month, Timbaland would be starting the first ever mobile album with Verizon Wirless. This track, was produced by Timbo, and is the first official mobile single. This may also appear on her debut album, out later this year. The song is not the greatest, but it can get very cathy at times. Definatley check it out!

Poll Results (February 5 - February 28)

Here are the results for the poll running from February 5th to February 28th.

Q: WHO DO YOU THINK IS THE BIGGEST POP DIVA?

Mariah Carey → 44% (28 votes)
Madonna 29% (18 votes)
Celine Dion → 6% (4 votes)
Whitney Houston → 6% (4 votes)
Cher → 3% (2 votes)
Diana Ross → 3% (2 votes)

Yes! This poll got many more votes than our previous one, meaning this site is growing and becoming more popular! I wanted Cher to win, but that's ok, Mariah is truly a pop diva, lol. Be sure to vote in the new poll up, and be sure to spread the word about this blog.

The Official End of the Spice Girls!

Wednesday, February 27, 2008

The Spice Girls' shelf life has finally expired. What started out as plans for an 11-date comeback tour and inevitably morphed into an all-out, months-long globe-trotting phenomenon, concluded in Toronto Tuesday night, when the Girls wrapped up their Return of the Spice Girls World Tour. "Our time is up...we've come to the end of the road...there are tears of both sadness and joy," the group collectively posted in a farewell message to their website Wednesday. "Who would have though that our reunion could have turned out to be this amazing? It just shows what can grow out of an exciting thought, an idea, a hope, a dream. Yes, our reunion tour is proof that dreams do come true."

The girl-powered group—Victoria "Posh" Beckham, Melanie "Scary" Brown, Geri "Ginger" Halliwell, Emma "Baby" Bunton and Melanie "Sporty" Chisholm—confirmed the well-seasoned rumor that the Spices would be reuniting for the first time in 10 years back in June of last year, once again under the aggressively watchful eye of former manager Simon Fuller. Plans for the handful of December one-off tour dates quickly gave way to the release of a new single, "Headlines," a greatest hits album and a rapidly expanding world tour.

Earlier this month, however, amid a flurry of mostly U.K.-generated headlines that hinted at discord within the Spice world, the girls announced that they would be cutting the tour short, backing out of previously announced dates in Australia, China, South Africa and Argentina, citing family commitments. However, in the message to fans posted today, the Girls took time out to thank their loyal fanbase for sticking by them and coming out to support them after such a long absence. "We have been lucky enough to have shared it with the most loyal fans in the world," they wrote. "Ten years on, you came back still wanting more...and it looks like we made some new friends along the way. You have inspired and ignited us with each show, the 47 that we performed, each time was amazing, and it is thanks to you."

While the Spice Girls offered no hints at whether a second reunion may someday take place—perhaps because Halliwell announced earlier this month that "this is the last time you will ever get to see the five Spices on stage as one"—they did implore the legions of Spice fans both old and new to continue fighting the good, girl-powered fight. "We look to the future with hope and imagination and let Girl Power live on through all of you as it will continue in us and the future generations to come," they said. "We hate goodbyes, but sadly the time has come to take our final bow, so maybe our song says it best: 'Goodbye my friend / It's not the end / So glad we made it / Time will never ever change it.' "

Leona Lewis ~ Footprints In the Sand (Video Premiere)

OMG! This video is so sad! I cannot believe it made me cry!! This is the very special music video for Leona Lewis' song "Footprints In the Sand". It is not a single, but it is going to be released for digital download, with all the profits going to charity. As for Leona's real single, "Bleeding Love", it will be officially released March 11th. Be sure to buy her new album ''Spirit'', out this April (in the US, that is). Enjoy the video!

Mariah Carey ~ Touch My Body (Video Premiere)

Here it is!! Mariah Carey's comeback video!!! I absolutely love this!!! Ya, it is getting criticism and stuff, but I think it is really nice!! It has a very good storyline that goes with the lyrics. The song, as you already know rocks, and has been the reason that many blogs (R.I.P. KeviPod Music) has been deleted. But, it is really nice I think and this video will go very far! "Touch My Body" will be on the album ''E=MC²'', out later this Spring! Enjoy, and be sure to watch before YouTube removes it! lol.

Melissa Smith ~ I Believed (Video Premiere)

Tuesday, February 26, 2008

Here is the premiere for Melissa Smith's new song, "I Believed". It is a very nice balled, I think. The video is very nice too, and she looks gorgeous! The video has a little intro for her next single, "Lost In Love", which I'm dying to hear! You may now be wondering, who the hell is she? She was a contestant on Making the Band 3, auditioning for Danity Kane and also appeared on The Pussycat Dolls Present, wanting to be the newest Doll. I actaully wanted her to win, but she wasn't chosen and she went with a solo route. She is now signed to 4847 Records. Hope her career goes far! Enjoy!

Tila Tequila ~ Stripper Friends (Video Premiere)

Monday, February 25, 2008

Haha!! I was just singing along to this yesterday with my sister! Here is the video premiere of "Stripper Friends" by Tila Tequila, supposed singer, bisexual TV reality star, and MySpace celebrity! I love Tila so much, and I think she actually has a good voice! The video is a bit nasty, but not as bad as the perverted, "I Love You". Tila is also going to be premiering season 2 of her show, A Shot at Love, very soon on MTV. It will once again feature 20 straight guys and 20 lesbians competing for her love. Enjoy the video everyone, especially you horny men, lol!

Ne-Yo Arrested!

Sunday, February 24, 2008

The 28-year-old hip-hop star was arrested early Tuesday in Atlanta after Cobb County police clocked his Range Rover going more than 100 mph. Police spokeswoman Cassie Reece said Ne-Yo, whose real name is Shaffer Smith, was booked on charges of reckless driving and driving without a license and released later that day on a $1,300 bond. He's due in court March 25 to answer to the charges.

Ne-Yo, whose sophomore album ''Because of You'' won the Grammy this year for Best Contemporary R&B Album, and has so far been having an o.k. year. The rapper-songwriter is currently embroiled in a lawsuit against the tour promoter behind R Kelly's recent ''Double Up Tour'', from which Ne-Yo was booted after only two shows. Ne-Yo has also been busy prepping for his follow-up to ''Because of You'' and fielding songwriting requests from Usher and Janet Jackson, among others.

Hope everything goes smoothly for him! :)

M. Pokora featuring Timbaland & Sebastian ~ Dangerous (Video Premiere)

Saturday, February 23, 2008

M. Pokora is a French pop singer / songwriter. He's going to be relaing his 4th album, ''MP3'' later next month. I just recently heard about him, and today his video premiered, which I am just loving!!! The first single is called "Dangerous" and it is becoming huge worldwide! I think with the addition of Timbo, this song will make it big here in the US. He is being compared a lot to Justin Timberlake, but I actually think this dude is better. Enjoy the video, I just love it!

Nicole Scherzinger featuring Ne-Yo ~ Happily Never After (New Song)

Finally! New music from my favorite singer, Nicole Scherzinger! Today, the HQ of her track "Happily Never After" featuring producer / singer Ne-Yo leaked! It will be off the album, ''Her Name Is Nicole'', which is now said will be released later this year (after numerous push-backs). Also, Robin Antin stated in a new interview that Nicole has reunited with the Dolls and they are working on their sophomore album. Maybe this song will be Nicole's last release, after many failed singles. I don't blame the girl for not even releasing her album. I'm really loving this song, and it is one of the ballads I've ever heard! Enjoy!

''Mommy'' From the Block!

Friday, February 22, 2008

Jennifer Lopez and husband Marc Anthony welcomed twins early Friday morning, a son and a daughter. After multiple false alarms over the past few weeks, the babies were born at a Long Island hospital in New York, J. Lo's publicist, Leslie Zelnik says. "The family is doing well," said Zelnik, who did not know if Lopez and Anthony had named the babies yet.

The girl arrived at 12:12 a.m., checking in at 5 pounds, 7 ounces, and the boy followed at 12:23 a.m., tipping the scale at 6 pounds, according to People, which first reported the births and has offered upwards of $6 million for the exclusive photo rights to the tots. These are the couple's first children together. Anthony also has two sons and one daughter from two previous relationships.

A source close to the singer-actress told E! News that, prior to giving birth, Lopez was telling people she plans to take up to a year off from work for mommy duty. "She's been waiting for this moment for years," the insider said. I wish this new family all the best, and I bet these toddlers will be gorgeous!

Jordin Sparks featuring Chris Brown ~ No Air (Video Premiere)

Wednesday, February 20, 2008

Wow! Another American Idol video premiere today! First Paula Abdul, and now it's Jordin's turn. Her new video is for her single "No Air" featuring label mate Chris Brown. This is such a beautiful song, and I love it! And now I love the video even more! Jordin looks gorgeous in this video, and her and Chris make a real cute couple! I personally think this is a better video than "Tattoo", but you can judge and see for yourself...

Just Call Her Producer!

Beyonce has signed on to be the new executive produce and star in the upcoming 1950's period film Cadillac Records. It was reported today by the Hollywood Reporter. The singer will play Etta James in the film, which is about the real-life story behind famous Chicago record label, Chess Records. It has also been reported that Adrien Brody and Cedric the Entertainer will star in the picture. Can't wait to see it!

Usher ~ Moving Mountains (New Song)

Here is Usher's newest song produced by the amazing Timbaland, who seems to be working with everyone now! The track is called "Moving Mountains" and its no that bad. It's not going to be a hit, I don't think, but it is good. This is Usher's 3rd song leaked this month from his new album out in the winter. The first, "Love in this Club" featuring Young Jeezy has already hit radio. The other a song called "I Can't Wait", a boring ballad which also leaked today. Enjoy the song!

Paula Abdul ~ Dance Like There's No Tomorrow (Video Premiere)

After 11 years of waiting, Paula Abdul's newest video has been released for her new single "Dance Like There's No Tomorrow". I absolutely love this song, and this is truly a 'comeback'! The video is ok, but I'm really feeling the red and fellow American Idol judge Randy Jackson playing the guitar, lol. Speaking of him, the song was produced by him and will be featured on his album,''Randy Jackson's Music Club, Volume 1''. Good luck Paula with your comeback!

Raven-Symone ~ Double Dutch Bus (Video Premiere)

Tuesday, February 19, 2008

Here is the premiere for Raven's latest music video, "Double Dutch Bus". It was filmed for her new movie College Road Trip. The video features fellow actors Donny Osmond and Martin Lawrence. This song will most not probably be on her latest album if that's what everyone is thinking. I'm not really feeling the lyrics (it may grow on me though), but for a Disney song the beat is real nice! The video is pretty cool, but the movie clips are kind of annoying. Enjoy it!

The Pussycat Dolls Present: Girlicious!

Monday, February 18, 2008

Tonight is the premiere of the highly anticipated new season of the show, Pussycat Dolls Present. Last season, they searched for the 7th member of the show, who in the end was given to Asia Nitollano. She was later let go by the group, and the Dolls went on to record some solo albums and their sophomore album (out later this year). This season, PCD creator Robin Antin, has come back looking for an all new trio entitled Girlicious. These girls will be similar to the Dolls, but there will only be 3 of them instead of 6.

Lil' Kim, Robin Antin, and Ron Fair will reprise their roles as judges on the show. I actually got a chance to go to the taping of the finale, where the Pussycat Dolls performed their single "I Don't Need a Man". The new season will premiere on the CW tonight at 9 o'clock Pacific Time! Please check your local listings, to find your channel and time.

Flo Rida featuring Timbaland ~ Elevator (Video Premiere)

I've been addicted to this song like a drug since it leaked, and now the video has finally premiered! The video is very cool and different and features Flo in an, elevator! No, but I really enjoy this video, and I think it may just become bigger than "Low". Timbaland is also featured in the track, and DJ Khaled makes an unexpected appearance also! I hope this single makes it bigger than "Low", cuz it's worth it! ''Mail on Sunday'' will be out this Spring! Enjoy!

Janet Jackson ~ 2nite (New Song)

Saturday, February 16, 2008

This just in! The new HQ version of Janet Jackson's recently leaked track, "2nite". I have to say, I absolutely love it! It is going to be bigger than "Feedback", which is just becoming a sensation, and the 2 other recently leaked songs of hers, "Rock With U" and "Luv", which I'm not feeling at all. This song also has a modern feel to it, and I'm expecting all of ''Discipline'' to be like. But that's cool, we really need to material from Janet. ''Discipline'' is expected to drop later this month. Enjoy the song!

Trey Songz ~ The Last Time (Video Premiere)

Here it is! The video for Trey Songz' newest single, "The Last Time". This is his 3rd single/video off of his album ''Trey Day''. I think the vingle is just ok, and his album has nothing really special about it either. I think he needs a new video very, very soon, to make this a successful album. Enjoy the video.

Ashanti ~ The Way That I Love U (Video Premiere)

Wednesday, February 13, 2008

Haha! After waiting for such a while the video for "The Way That I Loved U", has been released! I absolutely love this track right now, and it may just be my favorite at the moment. The video is very interesting, and features like 'home-video' clips and stuff, probably about an ex of hers. She is just gorgeous in this video, and this just may be her big comeback! Her new album, ''The Declaration''. The video was actually supposed to be released on the 28th of this month but it leaked, way earlier! The track is a bit different than on the single version, but I still love it! Enjoy the video!

Whats Up With The Shutdowns? + Mariah Update!

Tuesday, February 12, 2008

Today has been a really tragic day in the world of Music blogging. Today 2 great blogs were shut down. Kevipod Music & Ali's Blog, two of the world's most popular blogs were closed by Blogger today. You must ask why? All because of the latest single from Mariah Carey entitled "Touch My Body". So here is what I have learned. The blogs posted the song up (along with many other lesser known blogs) and after record labels saw this on these sites they immediately contacted Blogger and their blogs were shut down. I downloaded the song from an outer source, and after a couple plays I really am starting to like it! Also it was announced that Mariah's new album will be called ''E=MC²''. I think it is something very different, and I can wait to hear it in April!

So, I don't know if I will still be updating this blog for the rest of this week. I might be back up tomorrow, or this weekend by the latest. You can also visit my newest blog, The Sims Stratosphere, a news blog about the latest Sims 2 stuff & news. Also, Kevipod Music re-opened with a new url. You can visit him here! In his post he also includes a download link for "Touch My Body". I wish everyone who lost their blogs the best these couple of days...

New Banner!

Hey everyone! How is everyone liking the new banner? I just wanna give a huge thanks to Kent over at the Spill It Now Forums for making this new amazing banner! It may only feature Beyonce but we will still be the same blog we always were, not just focusing on Beyonce, but all the Top 40 artists. I hope you guys enjoy the new banner, and be sure to spread the word about M&M ~ Music Mania!

Trina ~ Single Again (Video Premiere)

Sunday, February 10, 2008

I never really liked Trina until I heard this song! The chorus of this song is really nice, and the many references (ex. Beyonce & Jay-Z, "Party Like a Rockstar") are real nice! The video has nothing really special about it, but it is pretty interesting at times, lol. I'm glad to see her back, and hopefully she will make more music like this! Enjoy!

Timbaland's "Mobile Album"?!

Saturday, February 9, 2008

This guy is on a roll! I mean he just can stop. First he produces numerous hits for artists like Justin Timberlake, Nelly Furtado, and the Pussycat Dolls, then he goes and releases his album, ''Shock Value'' which spawned many hit singles, next he announces he will be working on ''Shock Value II'' with collabos with Christina Aguilera, Linkin Park, Cher, etc. And now this!

Timbaland has recently signed a deal with Verizon Wireless to create the first "mobile album" which will be exclusively available to subscribers of V Cast, Verizon's mobile entertainment service. Timbaland will produce one song per month throughout 2008 and they will be released days after they're finished in the studio. (Fomats: full-length download, ringtone and ringback). The rumored artists to collaborate in Timbo's new project are; OneRepublic, Paramore, Flo Rida, Natasha Bedingfield, Taylor Swift and Chris Cornell. But the very first Verizon song has already been recorded and was premiered at a Pre-Grammy show last nightI It is with the one and only Keri Hilson and it'll hopefully leak in some way very soon..

Do You Believe In Cher?

Thursday, February 7, 2008

After months, maybe even a year of speculation and rumors, today, legendary performer Cher, announced on Good Morning America she will be making her comeback at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas, Nevada! She will be the successor to Celine Dion's long run at the hotel! Her last tour, The Farwell Tour ended back in '05, but it seems Cher is coming out of retirement and starting the yet unnamed tour May 6th. The schedule is kinda weird as she will begin in May, and will perform four shows a week for a month, then will return in mid-August for concerts through October. It was also reported the show will include songs from the entire 44-year span of her career, from Sonny & Cher classics to her more recent pop oeuvres. In addition to her vocals, the show will feature elaborate choreography, incorporating 14 dancers and four aerialists, as well as flashy costumes by Cher's designer of choice, Bob Mackie.

I guess this tour can be Cher's greatly anticipated comeback to music! She was reportedly working on a new CD, which will most probably feature more electro-pop songs like featured on ''Living Proof'', out this winter. Also, hip-hop producer Timbaland is also collaborating with Cher for his upcoming album ''Shock Value II''. Maybe she will premiere all of this stuff on the tour?

She also said on GMA she will be supporting Hilary Clinton in the presidential race. If you are dying to see Cher really soon, she will be presenting an award at the 50th Grammy's this Sunday! You can watch the interview below!

Usher featuring Young Jeezy ~ Love In this Club (New Song)

Wednesday, February 6, 2008

Here is their newest song, and now finally in HQ! I'm talking about Usher and Young Jeezy's "Love in this Club"! 'm actually kinda late on this, but who cares? I absolutely love this new track! It may just be Ush's comeback! He is working very hard in the studio, which will probably be released this winter, so we do have a wait. Hopefully, some more tracks will leak before the album releases. Enjoy!

Chingy featuring Ludacris & Bobby Valentino ~ Gimme That (Video Premiere)

Tuesday, February 5, 2008

Haha! All I can say is Chingy has not changed a bit! His new video is for his song called "Gimme That" featuring Luda and Bobby Valentino off his newest album ''Hate It or Love It''. The song is ok, but I'm starting to kinda like it. The chorus will be huge in clubs, and it will stay in your mind a lot! I'm just really happy about Ludacris coming back to the music scene after a year off. So enjoy the video, but there is nothing special about it.

Missy Elliot ~ Ching-a-Ling (Video Premiere)

Monday, February 4, 2008

Amazing! That is the word I'm using to describe this video! It is like nothing ever created! Mostly for the fact that this video is in 3-D! Miss-E premiered this video on MTV's TRL today and everybody loved it! I tried watching it with the 3-D glasses my sister gave me from the Hannah Montana movie, but it didn't work, :(. Also, at the end of this video her other track, the Timbaland produced "Shake Your Pom Pom" is featured for a minute. This is definatley going down in the history books, as a music video that will never be forgot! Enjoy!

Heidi Montag ~ Higher (Video Premiere)

Just days after the track leaked the video has been released for Heidi Montag's official first single. In the post when the song leaked, I really was bashing the song, but I am starting to kind of like it, but when I saw this it just shot right back down! The video is very cheaply directed, very boring, and it seems like it was just as a joke or something. The video and single will be releasing onto iTunes tomorrow. Please people! Do not buy her video or support her, so she understands she has no singing career! I'm warning you, this is going to be something very disturbing.

Poll Results (January 21 - February 4)

Here are the results for the poll from January 21st to February 4th.

Q: WHAT DO YOU WANT TO BE BRITNEY'S NEXT SINGLE?

"Break the" Ice → 37% (11 votes)
"Radar" 20% (6 votes)
"Get Naked [I Got A Plan]" 20% (6 votes)
Other 13% (4 votes)

  • "Freakshow" (1 votes)
  • "Ooh, Ooh Baby" (1 votes)
  • "Heaven On Earth" (1 votes)
"Toy Solider" 10% (3 votes)

Wow! We got more than double the votes we had in the last poll. I personally would have liked "Radar" to win, but "Break the Ice" is really good too! The new poll is coming up soon so get ready to vote, and be sure to tell everyone you know about M&M ~ Music Mania! Thanks!

Cassie ~ Is It You? (Video Premiere)

Sunday, February 3, 2008

Diddy's prodigy R&B recording artist Cassie is doing double duty! She has a small role in the upcoming movie Step Up 2, which opens in theaters in the US on Valentine's Day (February 14), and she has also worked for the movie's soundtrack recording a song, produced by Ryan Leslie, called "Is It You?". Now with the movie release getting pretty close they released the video. The video features a piano instrumental in the begining not featured in the album version. The song is very nice, but the video, not so much, lol. Enjoy!

Heidi Montag ~ Higher (New Song)

Saturday, February 2, 2008

I'm just gonna come out and say this right now! This song sucks!! Heidi (along with bf, Spencer Pratt) has been trying to promote her music a lot, and saying it is really great. This is a disappointment! The Hills star has absolutely no voice at all! The only good thing a bout this song is the beat. It is pretty reasonable, but not great! The lyrics are also not so bad, but could have been much better. Back in August, a track of hers entitled "Body Language" leaked and that was very impressive! I absolutely still love that song to death! You can thank US Weekly for leaking this horrible track. And if you for some crazy reason like this song, you can download it right down there! I guess, enjoy!

Spice Girls End World Tour?

Here's some shocking news! The Spice Girls' comeback world tour will wrap up at the end of this month and show dates have been canceled in Australia, China, South Africa and Argentina. "Sadly the tour needs to come to an end by the end of February due to family and personal commitments for Emma, Geri, Mel B, Melanie C and Victoria," the group said in a statement. They also said: "We've had such an amazing time over the past three months. It's been incredible being back together and seeing our fans again. We want to thank everyone who came to see us. It was all so mad the first time round, so we've really been able to appreciate it properly this time…Really sorry if we didn't get to see you this time round." This is a complete shocker since I thought the girls were doing a fabolous job with touring. I just hope this does not mean the end of the girls, and hopefully they can go on with recording very soon...

Aly & AJ ~ Like Whoa (Video Premiere)

Friday, February 1, 2008

No, no this is not the Disney version! Here is the official video for Aly & AJ's second single off their album ''Insomniatic'' called "Like Whoa"! The Disney Version contained clips from their movie Minuteman. This video is pretty simple, but I'm really starting to like this song! These girls are proving they are not Hannah Montana trash, but real nice pop artists. They are also working on their 3rd album, out next year. I just think they should release the track "Bullseye" as their final single off this album, to really make these girls known with non-Disney audiences. Enjoy the video!

Missy Elliot ~ Shake Your Pom Pom (New Song)

Last month Missy's newest single "Ching-a-Ling" leaked and got everyone hooked! Than a snippet of her newest song "Shake Your Pom Pom" leaked, but today the full version has come to your computers! The chours is very addictive and fun! Also, the video for "Ching-a-Ling", will be officially premiering Monday on TRL. They made a huge deal about it on yesterday's show that all episode long they showed ''influential videos'' from Kylie Minogue's ''Come Into My World" to Michael Jackson's "Black & White". They also revealed you are going to need 3-D glasses to view the video! This is going to be something very interesting! Both of these tracks will be featured on Missy's new summer album and on the soundtrack to Step Up 2. Enjoy!
